GENERAL INFORMATION
How long have you been in the HR compliance training
business?
KnowledgeStart has been developing HR compliance
e-learning courses for approximately 8 years.
How long are the courses?
The total estimated time to complete the e-learning
course is approximately 1 hour. However,
there are interactives and exercises that might take a
person more or less time. And some people will try to
complete the course in one session, where others will
take the course in their spare time.
Is there an instructor available to help me?
For ease of use, a narrator will guide you through the
course. If at anytime you need help, there is an "email
the administrator link" found at the top of the page
where you can get help, or you can call our technical
support teams at anytime from 9am-5pm EST for phone
support.
Will I receive some sort of manual?
There are no printed manuals available as part of this
e-learning course. However, you can refer to the "What
you've learned" section after completing the course to
print out or email key learning points and information
for further review. Additionally, a webinar may be
provided to instruct the administrator(s) on effective
use of the LMS.
Are there any tests in the course?
Yes, there is a final post assessment test to review key
concepts and skill sets that you should have learned
throughout the course. Keep in mind, this course was not
designed to trap participants in "right or wrong"
answers, rather to reflect the user’s commitment to
learning. Courses may be customized to provide a
“Pass/Fail” functionality if this is desired by the
client.
Is there bookmarking functionality?
Yes, there is bookmarking functionality throughout the
entire course. This means that if you don't have enough
time to complete the training in one sitting, you can
log-out of the course (or close your browser) and our
platform will automatically bookmark the page you've
last completed. This way, when you return to the
platform, you can pick up where you left off.
Are there certificates issued upon completion?
Yes, when you complete the "Conclusion" portion of our
course, a "Thank You" screen will appear indicating that
you have fulfilled your requirement of this training
course. Your completion of the courseware will also be
recorded within the database. You will then have the
ability to print out a customized certificate of
completion reflecting your name and date of completion.
Can I retake the course after I've completed?
Yes, you will continue to have access to this e-learning
course until your subscription period expires. Please
note that you will be able to access the examination
again once you have passed, however, you may have to
"rewind" the course by using your back arrow or browsing
to the table of contents button located at the bottom of
each screen.
What subject areas are covered?
KnowledgeStart provides e-learning courses for each of
the following topics: Diversity & Inclusion,
Micro-Messages, Disabilities, World Cultures, LGBT Workforce, Harassment Prevention, Understanding Business Ethics,
Generations, and Substance Abuse

Is your courseware and e-learning
content updated and current?
Yes, we update our courses regularly to ensure that the
facts and content represent the latest statistical
research. Each year we release an updated version of our
courses. Current clients may request customizations or
alterations to meet new standards or legal requirements.
Do you have the ability to integrate our company
policies into your courseware?
In each of the KnowledgeStart courses, there is a
section reserved for “My Employer’s Policies” in which
your organization’s specific policies and procedures may
be directly incorporated in a text version. The user is
forced to read the policies in order to advance to the
next module. The policies may also be downloaded or sent
to the user’s email.

What training methodology do you employ?
KnowledgeStart courses use narrator guided presentations
of key facts and information, complemented by case
studies, “What Would You Do?” scenarios, and dramatized
vignettes to keep the learner engaged and active
throughout the entire e-learning course.
Are the courses interactive?
KnowledgeStart courses are very interactive. We have
incorporated interactive learning activities, “What
Would You Do?” scenarios, and Post-Assessment Tests to
keep the learner engaged.
How do you know your training is effective?
After training 3,000,000 employees world-wide over the
last 7 years, our clients have noticed sizable increases
in talent retention and collaboration as well as
decreases in employee turn-over and legal issues arising
from employee behavioral issues. We also have the
ability to create pre and post assessment tests to
capture knowledge growth of an employee from their start

Can we deliver the course in 4 quarterly modules?
Yes. Companies that purchase the Enterprise Licensing
(unlimited training within their organization) will have
the ability to deliver the course as 4 individual
quarterly modules.
How long does it take to implement your eLearning
courseware?
Once all of the client’s needs have been defined, our
development team starts to create an individualized
learning platform specific to the client’s organization.
Depending on the types of customizations, delivery of
the e-learning course can take as little as 2 weeks, and
as long as 5 weeks.
Can your online courseware be customized?
Yes. Course customizations are common, as each client
has specific needs and goals associated with their
e-learning course. Our most popular customizations
include:
branding of the learning console with your company’s
logo
a filmed introductory statement from your CEO
incorporation of your organization’s policies and
procedures
addition or replacement of facts and figures
addition or replacement of Post-Assessment Test
questions
Can your courses be translated
into languages other than English?
Yes. KnowledgeStart has the ability to provide
translations in the following languages:

Translations may be provided in text format or
recorded as narration.
What about ongoing support?
We provide technical support. Our standard plan is
to deliver a response within 24 hours.

Do you have a built in Learning Management
System(LMS)?
Yes. Upon the completion of the customizations of
the course and sign-off from the client, our group
will develop a Learning Management System specific
to your organization that will allow an
administrator to view and print progress reports, as
well as contact learners via bulk or individual
email blasts.
What are your LMS Reporting Capabilities?
KnowledgeStart’s LMS (Learning Management System) is
easy to use and monitors the learners’ progress,
test results, course completion, and the date the
course was started/ended.
What are your LMS Data Importing/Exporting
Capabilities?
KnowledgeStart’s LMS imports and exports records
using CSV (Excel) format. Other options are
available, including manually updating user
information.
Can your courseware interoperate with our Learning
Management System?
KnowledgeStart courses are all SCORM 1.2 compliant
and may be delivered directly into your internal
LMS. Our team will work directly with your IT
department to ensure a smooth e-learning experience.

What are your training delivery options?
KnowledgeStart is partnered with some of the
industry’s leading training companies, allowing for
flexible and client specific training solutions. We
will help you design a training program
incorporating any level of online/on-site training
you need to successfully meet your goals and fulfill
your initiatives. On-site options include employee
classrooms and seminars, management and executive

suggest?
KnowledgeStart’s Train-the-Trainer sessions will
ensure that your in-house trainers are delivering
the most effective and accurate information to your
employees. Additionally, the online courseware will
